A quizzer, a broadcaster, an experienced comedian at both club and corporate level — Paul Sinha has displayed his versatility for many years.
When he left medicine to pursue his comedic dreams, his family may have been apprehensive — but Paul has no such regrets.
One of the UK’s first British Asian comedians, he has headlined all major UK comedy clubs, performed across the globe, and was voted Club Comedian of the Year in 2013 — not to mention the many acclaimed shows he has taken to the Edinburgh Fringe.
He has appeared on QI, Would I Lie To You, and Tonight At The Palladium — and was a “memorable” contestant on Season 8 of Taskmaster.
He is perhaps most at home on radio. Twice series champion on Fighting Talk, he has produced a number of factual comedy series on BBC Radio 4; one of which — Paul Sinha’s History Revision — won a Rose d’Or in 2016.
And — of course — in 2011, he became one of ITV’s titular Chasers; dispensing facts and bons mots to terrified contestants on the BAFTA-winning show The Chase.
In addition, since 2019, he has been a spokesperson for people affected by Parkinson’s disease.
With such a packed life and career, it’s no surprise he’s also written a memoir — 2024’s One Sinha Lifetime — which received rave reviews across the board.
