Paul Sinha - Britains 20th best Quizzer

As you probably know by now, Paul likes to quiz, and is honing his collection of unsuccessful TV quiz appearances.

1. He appeared with comedians Simon Evans and Natalie Haynes, and comedy promoter Pete Graham on University Challenge The Professionals. It was their misfortune to come up against the eventual winners the Ministry of Justice in the first round.

2. He appeared on Mastermind, specialist subject the Life of Ferdinand Magellan. Despite a respectable score of 25 (this was the highest scoring 1st round episode of the series) he could only finish fourth.

3. Paul's most spectacular implosion was on the show Are you an Egghead 2. Having won all 5 Eggheads, he then failed to receive a correct answer from any of them in the final round and fell victim to what Wikipedia described as "one of the most amazing comebacks in the show's history". The look of despair on his face was priceless.

2010 has been a great year for Paul in the pressurized world of geekery. His team the Gray Monks won Div 2 of the Quiz League of London , and he also represented Sussex who won a further two domestic trophies. In addition in June , Paul finished 31st in the World Quizzing Championships , a great result which lifted him to 20th place in the UK quiz rankings.

The Gray Monks win the Div 2 trophy.

Sussex win the Presidents Cup.

Sussex win the Don Bisset Trophy.
